History & Vision

The Mission of LivWE

It is our desire to be led by Holy Spirit in power and authority, equipping and sending followers of Jesus to love a broken world. The vision of our church comes from four main scriptures, including the Greatest Commandment and the Great Commission:  Acts 1:8; John 13:35; Mark 12:30-33; Mark 16:15.

Our Vision Statement

To love God and love all people through Holy Spirit in order that all will know the good news about Jesus.

Brief Church History

Pastors Matt and Leah Langford became senior pastors in November 2021 in Wiggins, CO at a non-denominational church that had been established 15 years prior. Pastors Matt and Leah were then ordained in November 2022 at White Horse Christian Center, West Lafayette, IN, as a relationship had been established with the leadership there. In 2023, the entire church family voted to leave the current denomination and begin a new journey as an independent church body, with an apostolic covering from White Horse Christian Center.
In March 2023, everything was finalized and Living Waters Ekklesia was started and began to meet in an airplane hanger outside of Fort Morgan, CO. This hanger was generously given as a place to meet until God moves us into a new building! It also has been hosting intercessory prayer and worship for over 25 years, truly a blessing to have as our current meeting place.
We want to see the Kingdom of God poured out in our community here as well as all through the nations. You’ll see we have flags hung in the Hanger of many nations that we have people we support and are in relationship with. This is to represent our vision for the nations of the world, that they all would know the love and sacrifice that Jesus made for each of us.”

About Our Name

Our name came from John 4:4-26 when Jesus spoke to the woman at the well, and also from John 7:37-38 as Jesus declared that rivers of living water would flow out of all who believe in him. Ekklesia is a greek word meaning called-out people, and also meant a gathering of citizens in a city-state who would deliberate and make decisions, a governing body. This is what we aim to be in our community, a people who are called-out, who pray fervently for the salvation of those around us far and wide, and to see the Holy Spirit alive and active, like living water, so that we not only hear the Word of God, but are also doers of it (James 1:22).
