The Mission of LivWE
It is our desire to be led by Holy Spirit in power and authority, equipping and sending followers of Jesus to love a broken world. The vision of our church comes from four main scriptures, including the Greatest Commandment and the Great Commission: Acts 1:8; John 13:35; Mark 12:30-33; Mark 16:15.
Our Vision Statement
To love God and love all people through Holy Spirit in order that all will know the good news about Jesus.
Brief Church History
About Our Name
Our name came from John 4:4-26 when Jesus spoke to the woman at the well, and also from John 7:37-38 as Jesus declared that rivers of living water would flow out of all who believe in him. Ekklesia is a greek word meaning called-out people, and also meant a gathering of citizens in a city-state who would deliberate and make decisions, a governing body. This is what we aim to be in our community, a people who are called-out, who pray fervently for the salvation of those around us far and wide, and to see the Holy Spirit alive and active, like living water, so that we not only hear the Word of God, but are also doers of it (James 1:22).
